GoDrift keeps your dive data on your device.

GoDrift is a dive logbook. It has no server, no account system, and no analytics — everything you log stays in local storage on your iPhone or iPad, protected the same way the rest of your device's data is.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data, because we never collect it in the first place. Nothing you enter in GoDrift is transmitted anywhere.

What GoDrift stores, and why

Bluetooth

GoDrift uses Bluetooth solely to pull dive data from a paired Shearwater dive computer after a dive. The connection is a direct, one-time transfer between your phone and your dive computer — it does not go through any server GoDrift operates, because GoDrift doesn't operate one.

Photos, camera roll & files

When you attach a photo to a dive or certification, GoDrift only accesses the specific image you pick. It does not scan your camera roll in the background.

If you export or delete your data

Exporting a dive log creates a file on your device that you control — GoDrift doesn't send a copy anywhere else.
Deleting the app deletes its local data with it, the same as any other app without cloud backup.
There is no account to close and no server-side copy to request deletion of, because none exists.

Children's privacy

GoDrift is a logbook for certified divers and isn't directed at children. Since the app collects nothing beyond the device it runs on, no data about any user — adult or minor — is ever collected by us.

Changes to this policy

If GoDrift adds a feature that changes what's described here — an optional cloud sync, for example — this page will be updated first, with the date above reflecting the change, before that feature ships.
